Are Maltese Hypoallergic?
YES! Maltese are hypoallergenic canines. They don't produce a lot of dander. and they only shed their fur on very rare occasions and that too in a very limited matter. Maltese are great for those people who don't want to deal with a lot of dog hair and can easily have an allergic reaction to a canine fur or dander.

What are Maltese grooming needs?
If you want to minimize the maintenance on your Maltese it's pretty simple. Keep them in a puppy cut or a Korean cut. Both are MUCH less maintenance than a show coat. Show coats are for people who have time for DAILY grooming. If you choose a "wash and wear" style, you only need a weekly touch up in between trips to the groomer.
Can a Maltese tolerate the cold?
NO! Maltese have no undercoat so their tolerance to cold is minimal. Maltese require a lot of protection and care from their owners. Sweaters, coats, and warmers are a must have if you live where it gets cold or even cool. Maltese are NOT outside dogs. 
What is the lifespan of Maltese?
Maltese life span average is 12-15 years. With proper care, nutrition, protection and exercise, they will remain healthy and could live longer than the average lifespan.
